What type of testing do you need?

Diagnostic Testing

This assessment is for individuals seeking answers about possible neurodivergence and how it impacts their daily life. This evaluation typically lasts 2-3 hours and includes a thorough review of your mental health history, current challenges, and validated self-report assessments. Following the evaluation, you’ll receive a brief report outlining diagnostic impressions, how ADHD or autism may be affecting your work, school, or relationships, and personalized recommendations to help you navigate life more effectively.

This report can also be used to seek therapy, medication management, or workplace accommodations.

Academic/psychoeducational Testing

A psychoeducational evaluation assesses how a student learns, processes information, and performs in an academic setting. This type of assessment can help identify learning disabilities, attention challenges, and other factors that may impact school performance. It is often used to determine whether a student qualifies for special education services, an IEP, or a 504 Plan to receive necessary classroom accommodations.

Unlike school-based psychoeducational evaluations, which are typically conducted by a master's-level school psychologist and focus primarily on educational planning, a comprehensive private psychoeducational evaluation—conducted by a doctoral-level licensed psychologist—goes beyond academic achievement. This broader approach can provide a formal diagnosis for conditions such as learning disabilities, ADHD, or processing disorders, which school-based assessments may not diagnose.

Neuropsychological Testing

Neuropsychological testing is the most comprehensive option, and is ideal for individuals who need formal documentation for accommodations on standardized tests like the SAT, ACT, GRE, or GMAT, as well as those experiencing cognitive challenges related to ADHD, brain injuries, or other neurological conditions. This report can be used to seek special education services or disability services from the state if symptoms significantly impact daily functioning.

The results are compiled into a detailed 20-25 page report, providing clear diagnostic impressions and practical recommendations for academic, professional, and daily life.
