Specialized Autism Assessments

If you or your child are wondering whether autism might be part of your story, you’ve come to the right place. With over a decade of experience conducting autism assessments in both school and clinical settings, I specialize in providing comprehensive, thoughtful evaluations that go beyond a simple diagnosis. My goal is to help individuals and families gain a deeper understanding of themselves or their child.

Autism can sometimes be mistaken for other conditions such as social communication differences, ADHD, anxiety, or learning disabilities. That’s why my evaluations don’t just screen for autism—they take a holistic approach, considering co-occurring differences to ensure you receive the most accurate and meaningful insights.

What Sets My Approach Apart?

With a background as both a clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist, I have worked extensively with autistic children, teens, and adults across various settings, including schools, hospitals, and private practice. I understand the unique ways autism can present across the lifespan, from early childhood to adulthood, and I tailor each evaluation to the individual’s developmental stage and needs.

When you work with me, you can expect:

A Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach
An Inclusive & Safe Space
Comprehensive & Thoughtful Testing
Expertise Across Ages & Settings
Convenient Options – In-office and virtual testing are available.
No Waitlist – I know how important answers are, so I strive for quick availability and results.

Why Get Tested?

A formal autism diagnosis can be life-changing, offering:

  • Self-Understanding & Validation – Many adults or parents already suspect autism but want confirmation. A diagnosis can bring clarity, self-acceptance, and a sense of relief.

  • Strengths Focused – My evaluations highlight strengths, not just challenges, to foster a positive sense of identity.

  • Support & Resources – A diagnosis can open doors to accommodations at school, work, and in the community, as well as access to therapeutic and support services.

  • Effective Strategies – Whether for yourself or your child, testing provides practical recommendations for managing sensory sensitivities, social communication, executive functioning, and emotional well-being.

Having worked in schools, I understand the challenges that autistic children and their families navigate, from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and classroom accommodations to social and emotional development. Likewise, in my work with autistic adults, I recognize the unique ways autism can manifest in relationships, careers, and daily life. My goal is to provide insights that are both meaningful and actionable.

What to Expect from an Autism Evaluation

  1. Diagnostic Interview – A one-hour clinical interview to understand concerns, history, and goals.

  2. Comprehensive Testing – Around 2-3 hours of structured assessments using gold-standard tools for autism diagnosis. Parents will be asked to complete questionnaires about their child.

  3. Detailed Report – A full written report that explains findings, strengths, challenges, and tailored recommendations.

  4. Feedback Session – A one-on-one discussion where I walk you through the results, answer questions, and explore next steps.

FEES

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not accept insurance directly. However, I provide all the necessary documentation (including a superbill) to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance company. Many clients receive partial reimbursement depending on their plan, so I encourage you to check with your provider about out-of-network coverage for psychological testing.
